For touring musicians, cable management is always a tricky task. There are lots of different ways to go about it, but one thing is for certain: The power cables that came with your amps are crap. No, seriously, they're absolute crap. They're cheap, rated only for indoor use, and use thin solid copper wires for the hot, neutral, and ground lines on the inside - which makes them impossible to properly coil as you would an instrument cable.
Introducting The AC Power Cable from Signal Chain Audio Labs
The AC Power Cable is built with a 3 conductor 16 AWG (26/30) stranded bare copper cable with a female IEC 320 C13 connector and a 3 prong 125V outlet plug. We also add our D-Ring strap so you can coil and store the cable when not in use.
The IEC 320 C13/C14 connectors are widely used in guitar and bass amps, rackmounted gear, pedal board power systems (like the Voodoo Labs Pedal Power seriers), etc.
It is available in 4ft, 6ft, and 10ft lengths. Custom lengths can be built on request!
